Are you in a rut?

Back in 2008 when the movie THE SECRET came out, it was one of the most depressing and abundant-less times for me. I was excited to have the movie/ book in my life, for I felt it was shedding light on a magical new way of creating happiness and WEALTH. However, the more I watched the movie, the more discouraged I got. At the time I had NO money, NO solid career (not for lack of trying) and if I could think of a dark time in my life… it was then. 


Instead of inspire and direct me on the right path, the part that started making things worse for me, was the “idea” of the movie. What you think about… becomes your reality. Entering into the time of The Secret, I was a bit unhappy, so therefore I started obsessing over all my thoughts. Obsessing. I felt like nothing was going right. I felt so upset with the movie. I felt as though I had been living the idea of the secret my whole life already, without knowing it. I generally had been implementing the positive thinking philosophy, thinking positive thoughts and having goals; with many of them coming true. But it felt like the pressure of this new movie was throwing me off. I just took it too seriously. It just came at a bad time for me.


Looking back, I obviously didn’t have the mental tools I needed to fix my rut. I was not aware about how ENERGY really worked, how to rust my intuition properly and how to correct myself. Had I known what I know how, I would of never fallen into a financial rut in the first place… Or let that movie get me down. I finally shook The Secret movie off! I remember it took a few good months. I finally brought my life back into balance… but I recall it took myself distancing me from the buzz of it all. I got back into the routine of having naturally positive thoughts and not obsessing about everything I was doing and thinking. 


You just have to live with good intentions. I’ve talked about neutrality before, but if you are able to feel neutral about different outcomes, it is very helpful. YES ideas and thoughts create your reality, but don’t get stressed out over the creation process. Try to stay positive… stay grateful… set your intentions… and then live your life everyday with a neutral and optimistic outlook. You’ll wake up one morning and realize that many things have already positively come true for you.  Live from the place of KNOWING that you have the power of the entire universe within your every thought.
