WHAT TYPE OF INTUITIVE ARE YOU?

For those of you that are not familiar with that term, an ‘Empath’ is a person who is highly sensitive to the space and people around them.  They are extremely strong at picking up on the emotions of others and emotional frequencies that space might still carry even after a person has left the area. For example, have you ever been to a crowded space and felt as though you just had to get out of it?  Possibly you moved into a new home and the old feelings and emotions were bogging down the place?

‘Empaths’ technically feel everything around them that others feel. But here is the thing…  I think it is important to break down this situation for everyone. You might be thinking, “Well that doesn’t sound like me, so I guess only ‘Empaths’ technically have superpowers.” Think again! Every individual on this planet is a specific type of intuitive being; living their life either as a Mental Intuitive, Physical Intuitive, Spiritual Intuitive or Emotional Intuitive (also known as an Empath).

So how can you tell which one you are?  Well, also keep in mind that you can be one or a combination of all intuitive types.  Here is a brief description of the four different intuitive types and the methods to their madness.

Mental Intuitive

A Mental Intuitive loves to over think everything. From their shopping lists to their TV bill, to what they are going to wear, this type of intuitive loves the details. You might also think of this person as being very ‘uptight’. They enjoy making new connections with people, for who knows when they might need to contact them for something. They are always asking how things work, for they need the backstory in every situation. They love a good debate, for logic and reasoning are their best friends. They enjoy trivia, problem-solving and do not like talking about things they don’t understand.  They plan things out before taking any action. This type of intuitive can pick up on others thoughts (mistaking them for their own), even before someone else says or does something.

Physical Intuitive

A Physical Intuitive is sometimes easy to pick out of a crowd. They love wearing jewelry, love having tattoos, they might carry around a huge bag full of goodies that they “just might need”… This type of intuitive loves to gather and use possessions to help them live a better, more productive life. These people are usually creative individuals such as artists, musicians, writers, gardeners, etc. A Physical Intuitive can usually communicate with animals. They gather inspiration and information from the grounding energy of nature. They love routines, rituals, magic and mystery. A Physical Intuitive enjoys being around happy, organized and balanced individuals; for a lot of stress wears them out fast. They are extremely sentimental and might enjoy items such as crystals, books, candles, pictures, oracle cards, etc. The thing about a Physical Intuitive is that they tend to get a lot of ‘gut feelings’. Often these types of people might feel pain, feel sick, or get headaches, etc, due to the fact that they are picking up on other people’s energy.

Spiritual Intuitive

A Spiritual Intuitive truly needs to be around positive energy and balanced people; for their tipping point is much more sensitive than others. A Spiritual Intuitive strives to become ‘enlightened’. They often tune into or pray to a higher power, seeing their ‘god’ or guru outside of themselves. This type of person usually stays away from commitment. It is very likely that Spiritual Intuitive people, as well as Emotional Intuitive people; can be diagnosed with ADHD or ADD by accident. A Spiritual Intuitive can have an addictive behavior, easily becoming hooked on something such as drugs, alcohol, meditation, healing, food, traveling, etc. They allow this feeling of addiction to come over them, for they are very much the type of person that feels they can find happiness outside of themselves.  Spiritual Intuitives love to compare themselves to others, for they feel that their existence is one that needs to shine above the rest. They enjoy energy healing and can tend to feel the presence of spirits, angels or ghosts. These types of people usually have vivid dreams, which usually provide them with some sort of information about current situations.

Emotional Intuitive

An Emotional Intuitive loves to pick up on other people’s feelings. They are very emotional people, often making decisions based on their feelings. They love to be of service to other people. Making others happy makes them happier in turn. They love talking and sharing their stories. An Emotional Intuitive loves the energy they get from music, art, and poetry. These types of people always see how they ‘feel’ about something, before doing it. They are easily overwhelmed in most situations if they do not know how to harness and protect their own energy.  An Emotional Intuitive person can be diagnosed with ADHD or ADD by accident, for their body is constantly on sensory overload, picking up on the feelings of others all at the same time. Due to these characteristics, an Emotional Intuitive is usually an introvert that stays clear of large crowds.

Hopefully now knowing the characteristics of the different types of Intuitive People, can help you understand where other individuals are coming from and what makes them tick. It is always easier talking to, or dealing with someone; when you can gauge the type of intuitive they are. This is especially important in understanding your children. So remember, there are not just ‘Empaths’ out there.  Everyone has special ways of picking up on things around them. The most important thing for every single person is to make sure they protect their own energy and disconnect from others so that their intuitive abilities do not negatively take over them.
