Hey, look up at the sky!
This blog post might seem a little funny to some… but the sky can be a marvelous thing, don’t you think? It can be peaceful or thunderous, serene or even angry. Living in an area with large beautiful tree covered mountains, I just recently spent some time in “the flat lands”. I found it amazing to watch so many different weather systems all in one view. I have always been one who looks up at the sky, figuring out the clouds shapes and characters that they represented.
The sky, much like the weather in general, can make us feel a certain way. For example – Do you ever get hopeful, enthusiastic, inspired or creative from looking up at the clouds? I know this is a funny subject, but there might be many people that do… and they don’t even realize it.
Clouds can be your inspiration, your daily boost or the beginning of your magnificent thought process. The sky is your connection to the unknown, the un-thought of, and the outer world. Clouds can be magical, powerful or angelic. Much like tuning into your intuition, people can look to the sky for a feeling, overall vibe, or encouragement about something they are thinking about.
Clouds are peculiar puffs of whitish fuzz, or grayish magical shapes that look down upon you. They can heighten your inspiration, bring you awareness, happiness, hope and deliver strength to a new life that awaits you… tomorrow. Take a careful look at the clouds that surround you from now on. How does it make you feel? What insight does the sky give you?
When you see a breathtaking view of the sky, appreciate it and enjoy it; for that same view will never be available to you again. All clouds are special and one of a kind. I feel for people who spend their days inside or those who live in a smog filled city, for they are truly missing out!
To conclude this cloudy memo, I literally just landed upon a fantastic website for the nature lover, the scientifically curious or the geeky at heart. The Cloud Appreciation Society is a great website that features different clouds all over the world. You can also send in great photos you take of the sky/ clouds and submit them for the ‘THE CLOUD OF THE MONTH’ contests.
