One of the things that I have had written down on my “To-Do In This Life” list (that I created when I was 12 years old), was to be a children’s book author. For years I didn’t even attempt writing this simple book, for I think the simplicity of it actually become overwhelming. I would think to myself… What do kids actually care about? What makes a popular selling kids book?
When I finally put all of my expansion limiting questions aside, I sat down one night with my husband and we wrote one. It was of course about one of our pets, and now we have two other books coming (to be fair). I attracted the brilliant children’s book illustrator, Yulia Potts, into my life, and the rest is history.
I am glad to say that I can now check off “children’s book author” off of my long to-do list. If you would like the book for your children, family, or even to read to your pets, please do. I will be donating the proceeds to an animal welfare group that is dear to my heart. Thank you for your support!
