Are you feeling blog blocked?
Do you have halted tongue?
Do you have writers block?
Are you in a creative funk?
You are need of a nature filled infusion of inspiration and creative growth?
Do you ever feel as though you are tapped out of information? Do you ever feel as though you are emptied out of blog posts or even social media posts? It can happen to anyone, even me. It’s so funny how sometimes you can be full of information to share and other times feel like you have nothing to give. When ever I feel this way I do a few things…
1) I don’t force it. You have to know that your not empty of information or knowledge, you just need to become inspired again and also allow your brain to “start the coffee pot” again. Instead of getting upset about this little content dry spell, embrace the time by doing some creative activities, even spending time outside doing UN-WORK RELATED tasks. Give yourself a mental break.
2) I write down a list of every single thing that I find interesting, that inspires me and that is the drive or “the why” behind my passions. Anyone who is really passionate about what they are doing should be able to come up with at least 15 blog post ideas around the subject. Think outside the box. If your market is social media, how can you talk about social media in 15 different ways. Another great practice is to keep a journal and write down blog/ post topics down as you think of them. I have a journal like this that has been a huge help many times!
3) I take part in “free writing” or “free painting”. Let your mind run wild with your pen, or paintbrush… on the paper. It’s crazy the ideas you might come up with.
4) I read. Remember books? I am a huge reader, but I also know that sometimes your personal passions can have you forget to read for a while. Start reading again. Go get a new book on an unrelated topic that your used to.

I tend to force my creativity a lot. It doesn’t work out. I don’t know why I continue to do it.

I sometimes feel as though I am blocked. I then spend absolutely NO time on the computer and it seems to help.
