Many people become disconnected from using their heart, for they are so consumed with what is going on around them.
What society says, making the right decisions, keeping up with the times, not being able to say no; that over 90% of people are not consulting their inner compass what so ever, living completely in their logical mind. If you are an individual that is living like this, you might think that this type of living serves you well… but does it really? Your logical mind takes over your insight, intuition and your true passions… if you let it! The logical mind takes over so much that you can tend to put your heart in the backseat all together. Your emotions are harder to access, other people’s feelings are harder to recognize, etc. Life seems like it makes more sense living from your logical mind… but it actually starts to dull your spirit. Many people cannot see this happening to themselves.
Just to get you thinking, do any of these ‘logical mind take-over’ characteristics resonate with you?
- It is hard to create deep and meaningful relationships with others.
- Your life is planned out well in advance, possible to the point where you might feel like a cast member in your life.
- You cannot seem to say no to the things that truly bother you.
- You are not able to feel LOVE deep within your heart. (Possibly you might think you feel love now, but if you have to think about if you feel it or not… you can check this one off too.)
- You are consumed with feeding your confidence, control and purpose.
- You feel completely run down and internally fried most of the time.
- You completely disregard your intuition, reassuring yourself in different situations that you know what to do and how to think about something, no matter what.
- You don’t embrace life’s true beauty. Maybe you see the trees for the paper and not the life giving oxygen…
If you agreed to any of the above characteristics of a ‘logical mind take-over’ (even one), you need to reconnect with your heart. When you reconnect with your heart, the most amazing life transforming things are going to happen for you. You will start operating from your True North Compass. This is your inner guidance system that will not steer you wrong! You will see the world differently, with more possibilities opening up to you. You will feel compassion in all situations, as you become to understand that there is no separation between you and anything else. You will begin to trust life, feeling aligned with your true purpose. You will evolve in many ways, for the heart is the complete opposite of ego. It is the answer to just ‘being’. Living from the heart allows you to let go and allow life to provide you with a truly amazing experience.
Now everyone should use logic, but the best decisions are made by using both your mind and your heart as a partnership. So how to you start living more from the heart you say? Here are a few tips on where to start…
- Get into the vibration of feeling appreciation for everything. The air you breathe, the dollar in your pocket, the family you have, the shelter you have, etc. Gratitude is felt directly from the heart, not the mind.
- Be aware of your behavior, emotions, feelings and what triggers you to act or think certain ways.
- Pin-point what it is that drives you to go to work, make money, have that certain vehicle, or have people see you do specific things. In the end, all of these things will not matter. In the end people will only remember how you made them feel, not what you drove.
- Take time to be alone. Don’t be scared of your own thoughts (when they are not all about your to-do lists). Quiet time is important time. Feelings, ideas and sensations can all arise; intuitively showing up to help guide you.
- Make sure you feel heard. Yelling is not the answer, however make sure the people around you know how you feel about specific things. When we suppress our words, sickness can occur.
- Start to care about the people around you and the situations that are going on in our world. Always know that you can make a difference. The ocean is made up of many single drops. Care and positively contribute.
- Judge less, forgive more and don’t hold grudges! If you are someone that does these things, in the end it is only YOU that is going to be punished from them. These emotions can show up later as many horrible health issues.
- Check in with yourself all of the time to help you recognize how you really feel about things. When you don’t want to do something… DON’T. When you don’t listen to yourself, do you get a stomach ache, head ache, or feel sick? That is not just a coincidence.
- Learn to detach yourself emotionally from any negative things that happen to you. It is ok. This one takes practice!
- Trust life.

I can’t trust my mind or my heart! I’ve been tricked so many times by my own senses so my new motto is tattoed on a singer’s hand–“Trust No One”

Do you think it is because you were not following your intuition and your “inner guidance system”? Because following that always tells you who to trust, who to be with, what people are really like, etc… 🙂

Who knows really. Trust hasn’t worked so have to work out a new system.
